I love the way you've used the media like this.
My sister used to play violin. I play cello, but I'm nowhere near Julian Lloyd Webber. :(

That is such a good rendition. The somewhat minimalistic look and enigmatic feeling you get by cutting just above the nose is brilliant. There's also a very small detail that may just be in my imagination, but I can't help making a note of it. The way you've drawn the mouth gives him a somewhat melancholic expression, if not even slightly sad. It's probably just the shading, but I still get that feeling from looking at it. And it really adds to the feeling, simply because we can't see his eyes, and so we can't really make out his state of mind. Is he brooding? Simply thinking? Grieving? I always love a touch of ambiguity about a picture, and you've really managed that. You've also managed to capture his traits, without revealing the whole face. I must salute you, Shingel. You're brilliant!

Oh, the pleasure is entirely mine. You deserve all the praise in the world. (I just realised I forgot adding this to my favourites... Silly me. Oh, well, better late than never, right?)

Love the composition and the chiaroscuro effect of the shading, very dramatic! I've been wanting to try and draw Sherlock with his violin, but so far no luck. May I ask what size this is, it's very detailed.x
